I have been super, super swamped lately. The good news is after I finish the book I am currently illustrations, I will be catching on comic projects. I have a couple zines and a webcomic in the works.
In the meantime, I just found out that Murder on the North Sea is a finalist in the mini-comic category of the SPACE Day Prize. How cool! Now I just need to do the next one…

Continuing development for the next Ultimate Sinister comic. Need to come up with a name for this evil fellow. One of the few with more money than Sinister.
Starting to concept sketch my next Ultimate Sinister story…It starts with a cruise across the Atlantic on a White Star style ocean liner or as the Sinister calls it, a small yacht.

I have been listening to a lot of Wodehouse lately and of course am anticipating Downton Abbey. But of course The Great Gatsby is about America in the 20s… I highly recommend The Paris Wife by Paula McLain. It imagines the life a young Ernest Hemingway life in Paris and hanging out with many other now famous artists and authors including the Fitzgeralds.
Another good inspiration is Cold Comfort Farm, both the book and the movie. (The edition of the book with the cover by Roz Chast is my favorite).
Now, back on track for the next Ultimate Sinister Comic, Adventures in America.
This convenient little non-nonsensical wrapup always happens at the end of these mysteries… I wonder if anyone has ever though about putting an Avengers-style movie starring all the mystery sleuths. Maybe Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple, Sherlock Holmes, Jessica Fletcher, Nancy Drew, Encyclopedia Brown…
